Pi Network Completes Distribution of 240,000 SLICE Tokens and Expands Liquidity Pool Experiment
Pi Network has completed the distribution of its second testnet token, SLICE, and expanded its launchpad liquidity pool price tracking experiment. Over 242,000 participants committed 15.92 million test Pi, with 10 million SLICE tokens distributed. SLICE is a testnet-exclusive token and will not be migrated to the mainnet. This experiment focused on the flow of committed amounts, with the committed test Pi not transferred to the team wallet but deposited into the liquidity pool. The liquidity pool operates on a constant product automated market maker (AMM) model, where users deposit test Pi to receive SLICE tokens. After the distribution is complete, users can check their individual allocation amounts, launch prices, effective prices, and access paths to the liquidity pool. SLICE is connected to the third-party game 'Slice of Pi' and offers participation bonuses. Compared to the first testnet token, IRRA, SLICE has broadened the scope of experimentation to include liquidity pools, swaps, and automated price determination structures. However, the price of PI has remained around $0.077 after hitting a low of $0.07072 on July 14. The SLICE experiment focuses on validating the design of the launchpad, and whether it operates in a mainnet environment remains a future challenge to be addressed.
