New Record: 10,598 Cars Donated in Ukraine in a Quarter

In the second quarter of 2026, Ukraine re-registered 10,598 vehicles through donation agreements, which is 42% more than in the first quarter (7,461 cars). Compared to the same period last year (9,741 cars), the increase was 8.8%. Approximately 3,300 cars are donated monthly in the country. The average age of donated vehicles is 13 years. The most frequently donated models were the Volkswagen Passat (238 units), Skoda Octavia (212), Volkswagen Golf (170), Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (168), and BMW X5 (160). The share of gasoline and diesel cars exceeds 72%, while electric vehicles and hybrids account for 14%. The main types of fuel are: gasoline - 40.3%, diesel - 32.1%, LPG - 13.6%, electric vehicles - 9.3%, hybrids - 4.7%. Legislation allows vehicles to be donated to both relatives and strangers. The personal income tax on donations between close relatives is 0%, while for others it is 5%. The cost of re-registering a car at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center is about 1,105 UAH.
