Ministry of Commerce Responds to U.S. Investigation and Sanctions Against Chinese AI Companies

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that China urges the U.S. to listen to the objective voices of the industries in both countries, correct its hegemonic mindset, and stop the smear campaigns and threats of sanctions against Chinese enterprises. China will take necessary measures against any actions that substantially harm its interests and will firmly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. It is hoped that the U.S. will implement the consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen dialogue and communication in the field of artificial intelligence, and jointly promote the positive and beneficial development of AI, improve governance, and benefit both countries and the world.
