Korean Stock Market Struggles to Quickly Rebound to Previous Highs
On July 31, renowned trader Ariel Hernandez stated that the Korean stock market plummeted due to excessive leverage in AI semiconductor stocks, with some traders facing liquidation due to margin calls. The market is unlikely to quickly achieve a V-shaped rebound to the highs seen a few weeks ago. Hernandez referenced early cases in the silver market involving leveraged liquidations, noting that such trends are typically accompanied by increased supply from sellers and a decreased willingness among new buyers to use leverage. The reversal process is often slow, and it may take months or even years for previous highs to be approached again.
